Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service by Automattic to see if you are using it. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We use MailChimp’s services to collect and store your contact information and communication preferences. Only the information entered by you is collected and stored there. MailChimp’s privacy policy is available here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
In addition to storing your information on MailChimp’s servers, notifications that contain some of your data may be a) sent to our administrative email address (admin@awakeningauthenticity.com) and b) displayed in WordPress’s administrative console. Both of these are password protected, and your data will never be shared from either of them, except in the case of official audits and/or litigation.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Who we share your data with
Aside from the situations previously mentioned, Awakening Authenticity doesn’t share your data with anyone without your express consent.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data

We use an Instagram Feed plugin to display social media content on our website. As a result, our website makes requests to Instagram’s servers in order to get the data to populate the feed(s) and to display images and videos. Additional information
How we protect your data
Awakening Authenticity relies on Wordfence to secure our site. Wordfence provides antivirus, antimalware, and antispam services. They monitor for malicious activity around the clock and block all attempts to prevent unauthorized entities from accessing our site and your data. As an added security measure, Login LockDown by Bad Neighborhood is used to monitor login attempts to the WordPress console and tracks the number of attempts made from a given IP address within a specified time period. If excessive attempts are made, that IP address is locked out for a predetermined duration. Though this doesn’t directly impact a website user, it serves to protect your data from malicious attacks and potential theft.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Wordfence informs us of any suspicious activity or potential breaches via email.
If we learn of an actual data breach, we will notify the impacted customers and subscribers via email within 72 hours.
What third parties we receive data from
At this time, Awakening Authenticity does not receive any data about our customers and subscribers from any third parties.
